About The Woolley Law Firm, PLLC

The Constitution of the United States is much more than just a document. It is the symbol of our freedom. The Constitution is our protection and security. The Constitution is the bastion upon which we stand as a nation and people. In addition, The Constitution is an essential part of criminal law and our lives. It establishes law and legal principles that provide freedom and rights such as freedom of press, assembly, speech, religion, and petition.

The 4th amendment Prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures and sets out requirements for search warrants based on probable cause as determined by a neutral judge or magistrate,

The 5th amendment Sets out rules for indictment by grand jury and eminent domain, protects the right to due process, and prohibits self-incrimination and double jeopardy, and

The 6th amendment Protects the right to a fair and speedy public trial by jury, including the rights to be notified of the accusations, to confront the accuser, to obtain witnesses and to retain counsel.

As a result of my belief that all humans have a right to life, property, and opportunity, regardless of their ethnicity, race or gender, I furthered my education by obtaining an LL.M. in Intercultural Human Rights from St. Thomas University School of Law. This LL.M. degree focused on the most important issue facing our world today: “the protection of human dignity across political, social, economic and cultural lines.” [1]

Now, I have the knowledge and ability to assess key “theories, practices and fundamental concepts in international human rights law and policy, as well as to conduct effective research and advocacy in the field of human rights in a practical and interactive way.” [2] I am also learned on the procedures of filing complaints in this field. I graduated with honors, Cum Laude from Thomas M. Cooley Law School with a J.D. I received my bachelor’s degree in Political Science at St. Thomas University. By studying Political Science as well as Sociology, I was given the opportunity to understand what brings people together and what separates them.

During my undergrad, I visited and remain in contact via-email with the Immokalee Workers Union headquartered in Immokalee, Florida. “The CIW is a community-based organization of mainly Latino, Mayan Indian and Haitian immigrants working in low-wage jobs throughout the state of Florida.” [3]

Now, while my practice covers the immediate counties surrounding Lansing: Ingham, Eaton, Barry, Jackson, and Calhoun; We represent clients throughout the State of Michigan. You need an attorney who will demand that your constitutional rights be protected, request evidence obtained in violations of your rights be suppressed and advocate tirelessly on your behalf.
